Meet the team….. James

Hi everyone, I’m James. I graduated from Leeds Beckett University as a Sports Therapist in July.  Up until 2017 I was competing across the 400m and 800m disciplines at a national level, pushing the international boundary having earnt an England vest in my 2016 season.

Although running was put on the back burner whilst I studied to become a Sports Therapist. I still very much enjoy going to the gym, putting my knowledge of strength and conditioning, periodisation and injury prevention into practice.

If I’m not in the gym, you’ll often find me watching the football – you’ll have to find out who I support.

I became a Sports Therapist with the vision to create an accessible and affordable infrastructure similar to that offered to Elite athletes. This being in the pursuit to help support the development and well-being of our grass-root athletes.

During my time of study, I gathered a wealth of experience working within Rugby League, Rugby Union and Football as well as treating staff and students at the Leeds Beckett Injury Clinic all which will benefit you as client.

As a graduate Sports Therapist I understand that although my initial degree is finished, my learning and development has only just begun. I have just embarked on my master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Medicine where my knowledge and experience will be pushed further, benefiting not only me but you as a client also.

I look forward to building a relationship with you all whilst helping you work towards your goals,

James.
